Salt Lake City June/July 2008

While in Salt Lake I took the opportunity to take the kids down to Temple Square. They really enjoyed it. It was so neat to see there faces light up in the visitor's center when they would see things that they had learned about from the scriptures and church.

Brendan and Kristen, best buds.

Lance enjoys getting rides from Kristen and she loves to give him a ride...that is until she get's too tired.

Brendan and Kristen loved seeing the Christus statue. Lance wasn't cooperating enough to get into the picture. Oh well.

Salt Lake City Utah June/July 2008

The last week of June we drove up to Salt Lake City to visit with family and attend the Gailey family reunion on July 1st. It was so good to see all the family, many of which we had not seen in quite a while.

Lance really enjoyed driving the car at Bunka and Mooz's house with no thought to his wardrobe.

Lance and Andrew had a good time together...nice to have a cousin your own age.

Gramps and Grandma were the MC's at the reunion, we counted out of 110 decendants there were 85 in attendance! WOW!

Each family had to do a little presentation type thing. Brendan showed off some of his karate moves. He had just advanced to Blue belt before we had left. He was quite nervous and didn't want to perform at first but after seeing a few cousins doing their thing he decided to...or maybe there was a bribe involved ...hmmmm. Anyway we were very proud of him.

Lance really got along with some of the cousins as you can see his communication skills are very advanced!

June FUN

June 5,2008

At the beginning of June Eric found out that his favorite baseball team the Chicago Cubs were playing the L.A. Dodgers in L.A. on his birthday so he called me up and asked to go and even offered to take the girls. An offer I almost couldn't refuse. But with gas prices and such I really didn't think it would be possible. Then he called me again and said, "Well why don't we take Robert (who has been dying to go to Disneyland) and you can take him and the kids to Disneyland and I'll go to the game." So after discussing it with Robert, he offered to help pay for things, we decided that we would go...for the day.

I thought it wounldn't be too fun with only having one DAY at Disneyland...really not enough time. But since Robert had to rent a electric cart we were able to go to most of the exits for the rides and therefore miss the lines. Really awesome if you have small kids with you! Eric took Lance to the beach for the early afternoon (we left LV that morning and got there around 11:30), since the game didn't start til evening. So we had a blast with the older kids. Then Eric dropped off Lance in the early evening and took Mackenzie (who was getting tired of walking) to the ballgame. We enjoyed the rest of the time at Mouseland then had to wait a couple of hours outside the park for Eric to arrive. We spent a short night at Robert's uncle's house nearby then headed for home the next morning...Eric had to work that afternoon.

I'm including a few smileboxes of our adventures for your viewing pleasure.

President's Weekend in Salt Lake City

Our family took a trip to Salt Lake City this past weekend and had a great time.

The kids wanted to see the snow.

Dad wanted to see the "Back of the Moose" cabin.

While at the cabin...the front of the moose saw dad.

But most of all we wanted to visit with our family
