Lance Praying

Tonight Lance decided that it was his turn to say the prayer...I'm not sure what he said but the kids are certain that he blessed the food and hoped we'd have fun.

Fair~Lake~Prayer

We would love to show you all the pictures of our trip this past Saturday and Sunday morning to the Clark County Fair, but our cameras...yes both of them...have broken.

We went to the fair on Saturday morning and spent the day walking the fair grounds. We saw all the animals at the fair...Cows, Pigs, Horses, Rabbits, Chickens, Roosters, Snakes, and lots and lots of KIDS! Our kids had never experienced a fair and they didn't want to leave. We saw Pig racing...FUN FUN FUN. Mutton Busting (5-7 year olds riding sheep, like men ride horses and bulls in a rodeo). Kristen wanted to do it, but we think she would have been too scared once she was on top and it started to move. It was too cute to watch the others though. There was so much to do there, we wish we would have had a few days to enjoy it.

The fact is we had the boat and we had to get to the lake before it got dark. I alway seem to set up the tent and cook dinner in the dark. When we went to leave the fair...we parked in RV parking with the boat in an area where we could get out quite easily. When we got back to the van we were almost completely boxed in with other cars vying for parking positions. I did a 6 point turn by pulling forward and backward several times with the boat in tow before we were able to pull out of the pickle we were in. We got to the lake around 6pm and launched. It was the first time towing the boat with the mini van. It worked quite well. I was impressed at the capability of the van to be able to do it.

We launched at Overton Marina and headed towards Echo bay. I couldn't believe all of the sandy beaches on that side of the lake. We found a perfect beach all to ourselves right accross from Echo Bay Marina. We set up and prepared dinner. We started when the sun was up...but dinner wasn't ready until dark. (What else is new). The air temperature was perfect...mid 70's. The water (high 50's...too cold for Cindy and Me, but not for the kids. They played in the water until it was bed time.

The next morning we got up to get ready to pack to head back to LV for church. We have the late church time...so this is a positive. We had the boat loaded and ready. I tried to start the boat and it just CLICKED!!! Oh no!. I called my dad, after I talked with my FATHER. Dad said to clean the contacts. The Father said to be patient and everything would be fine. I did what dad said, and also what my Father said. About 10:30am I got the boat started...finally. We loaded up the kids and headed back to the marina. We were still about 1.5 hours from Las Vegas. I didn't speed, but we got home just in time to shower, change, and get to church on time.

GREAT DAY!

NO CAMERA

Within the past 2 weeks, both of our cameras (video and digital) have broken. We don't know if it's kids or what, but we won't have pictures for a few weeks. The cell phone cameras just don't do it justice, but if there is something we cannot miss...we will be sure to post it with a cell camera.

ARGH!
